Join her in welcoming the Logan Hotel
Daughter of the legendary Philadelphia Flyers announcer Gene Hart, her voice has been ringing out at each and every Flyers home game for years. Lauren’s roots to this city run deep.
She has an extraordinary story —a life jam-packed with wildly unique experiences. From living in the south of France and opening for Frank Sinatra to sharing the stage with Bill Clinton at his first Inaugural Ball. Lauren has lived life to the fullest. She is a singer/songwriter and has written for film and tv and has released 6 albums.
Lauren is also a survivor of non-hodgkins lymphoma and connected to hundreds of thousands of Philadelphian’s when she continued to sing throughout her treatment. Inspired by the fans, Lauren took her experiences off the ice and became an Honorary Board member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, a peer counselor, an advisor to Pennsylvania Hospital Cancer Center and a spokesperson for Penn Medicine’s cancer program in South Jersey.
For all of this she was awarded the “Humanitarian of the Year Award” by the Friends American Cancer Society and “Person of the Year” by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Locally she is extremely passionate and an active supporter of Philadelphia born charitable organizations —the Gene Hart Memorial Fund, Echoes Foundation serving Uganda, Headstrong, Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation and Afrique, a coffee program created with her husband Todd Carmichael to serve the needs of hundreds of children in Africa.
Lauren and her husband Todd have adopted 4 children from Ethiopia and she continues on to her next big adventure wherever that may lead. Lauren is a champion of life all over the world, but Philadelphia is always home. Join Lauren in celebrating The Logan: Philadelphia’s Hotel.
